Our lab develops peptide-based delivery platforms that improve the transport of a broad range of therapeutic payloads, including mRNA, siRNA, gene-editing tools, proteins, and small molecules. We take advantage of the inherent biocompatibility, biodegradability, and targeting capabilities of peptides to build nanocarriers that enhance stability, uptake, and tissue-specific delivery. A major focus is on engineering peptide-modified lipids and polymeric systems that can navigate biological barriers relevant to neurological diseases, cancer, and cardiovascular conditions. The goal is to create clinically viable drug and gene delivery technologies that are safer, more efficient, and adaptable to emerging therapeutic modalities.
